Pouso Alegre
Pouso Alegre is a city in Brazil to the south of the state of Minas Gerais.
History
The first Europeans arrived in 1596, the area of the city in search of gold. After they found it, they founded a settlement called " Matosinho do Mandu " or " Bom Jesus do Matozinhos ". 1797 the company was renamed in Pouso Alegre, which means approximately " nice stay". Pouso Alegre in 1831 was elevated to the rank of a city.
