Povlja

Povlja is a fishing and farming village of 400 inhabitants in the north- east of the island of Brač in Croatia. The place is surrounded by many bays, as Travna, Smokvice, Ticja luka, Tatinja. Povlja is located about 5 km north from the ferry port Sumartin, connects the Brač with Makarska on the mainland.

Attractions

The town has an old Christian basilica dating from the 5th - 6th Century, next to it a few more times converted castle.
