PowNed

Powned is a Dutch broadcasting company within the public service broadcasting Publieke Omroep. It is aimed at the new " network generation." Powned sends the satirical news program PowNews on Nederland 3, which often uncovers scandals in politics on working days.

Powned was founded in December 2008 by using the weblog GeenStijl. In March 2009 Powned reached the required 50,000 members to be part of the Publieke Omroep. The recording was then made on November 4, 2009. The first program was broadcast on 3 September 2010. Powned has the same meaning as owned in the computer gaming jargon. The backronym stands ( Public broadcasting Clear Thinking Netherlands and the like) for " Publieke Omroep Nederland Weldenkend En Dergelijke ".

Chairman of the Broadcasting Company is the PowNews presenter Dominique Weesie and main reporter is Rutger Castricum. Other reporters are Nadia Poeschmann, Shelly Sterk Jan Roos, Danny Ghosen, Tom Staal Jan Versteegh and Mark Leene.
