Prachaksinlapakhom District

Amphoe Prachaksinlapakhom ( Thai อำเภอ ประจักษ์ ศิ ล ปา คม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Udon Thani. The Udon Thani Province is located in the northwestern part of Northeast Thailand, Isaan so-called.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Nong Han, the Ku Kaeo, Kumphawapi and Mueang Udon Thani. All Amphoe located in the province of Udon Thani.

History

Prachaksinlapakhom was set up by being separated from Amphoe Kumphawapi on 1 June 1997 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ).

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Management

Amphoe Prachaksinlapakhom is divided into three communes ( tambon), which in turn in 41 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
