Pradal Serey

Pradal Serey ( Khmer boxing also, or Kun Khmer ) is a Cambodian martial art.

History

Pradal Serey was codified in the 20th century during the French protectorate of the colonial administration. Pradal Serey is from the customer Daï ( Khmer language for: " martial arts with his bare hands "), which is a military discipline. The Kun DAI informed of the Khmer Empire in the army in the 9th century.

Fighting Style

Pradal Serey is a martial art that is influenced by elbow techniques melee and knee techniques. Some rules in Pradal Serey prefer the melee and the knockout blow of the opponent during the fall.

Similar fighting styles are Muay Thai, Bama lethwei, Muay Lao ( Lao boxes) and Tomoi (Malaysia).
