Praetorius
Praetorius is a praetor derived from the Latin adjective that could refer to things or people, which referred to the office of praetor, the original Roman high officials and generals. So there was a porta praetoria in Roman military camps, the bodyguard of the commander was called cohors Praetoria ( Praetorian ). A substantive designated Praetorius in the Roman Senate, the class rank of the former praetors.
In the early modern period, a number of people with the Latinized name " Schulze ", " Schulte ", " sheriff ", etc. Accordingly, their names (also: " Scultetus ").
