Prager Zeitung

The Prager Zeitung is a German-language publication that appears weekly since 5 December 1991 in Prague and is sold in the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

History

After the political changes in Czechoslovakia, a native of Zwickau historian Uwe Müller founded († 2010) in 1991, the " Prague Post " and took over the position of managing editor in chief. Mueller was previously an employee of the "Prague People's Daily ". With the " PZ " he wanted to create a modern publication that spoke to a new hand to the land flowing German -speaking business people and tourists, but on the other hand anknüpfte also to the centuries-old German -language press tradition in Bohemia and Moravia. The " PZ " sees itself as a successor publication of the famous "Prague Tageblatt ," wrote the reporter legends such as Egon Erwin Kisch.
