Pragma-dialectics

Pragma - dialectics (also pragma dialectical theory, English: Pragma - dialectics ) is a largely developed by the Amsterdam scientists Frans van Eemeren and Rob Grootendorst argumentation theory, an idealistic speech situation ( speech act theory ) subordinate to and rules for argumentative action sets up.

Pragma - dialecticians understand normal linguistic- critical discussion of speech acts that are to be performed and evaluated by means aligned to an idealized speech situation rules to a reasonable goal. Classically, these are ten rules to ensure an open and domination-free discourse, but can be found in the literature, other variants of the rules. Positions of Paul Grice and from the discourse analysis were integrated into the theoretical justification of the approach.

Analytically, the dialogue process is divided into different phases and then reconstructs the discussion. Pragma - dialectics applies, partly because of a strategically - internationally oriented publication policy, as the most influential continental European argumentation theoretical explanation.
