PGM is a multicast transport protocol for applications which data sorted or unsorted transmitted from multiple sources to multiple destinations must. The protocol ensures that data will be transferred free of duplicates and that a group of recipients receives the data without loss. Any loss of data will be corrected or shown as not repairable. PGM is specifically intended to work in an environment in which reliable data transmission is required. The central design objective is the simple scalability and efficient network utilization.
