Prague Black Panthers

The Prague Panthers are a Czech American football team from Prague, founded in 1991.

History

In January 1991 in the Czech Republic was the first American football team, the Lions Prague, was founded. After internal disagreements after only a few months, two new teams, the Panthers and the Prague Prague Cocks, founded. 1992 merged the two teams and took the name Prague Panthers. 2009 won the Panthers as the first of the former Eastern bloc originating team a European competition, the EFAF Cup, after they had failed in the 2008 semi-finals at Berlin Adler. As of the 2010 season, the Panthers play at the same time in the Austrian Austrian Football League and the Czech CLAF.

The end of 2012, the Prague Panthers joined the reigning Czech runner-up with the reigning champions Prague Blackhawks under the new name Prague Black Panthers together.
