Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste

Prats -de- Mollo -la- Preste (in Catalan Prats de Mollo la Presta i ) is a commune with 1076 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Pyrénées- Orientales in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. It lies on the River Tech, near the Spanish border. Near the village are the sulfur baths of La Preste.

At the end of the 19th century had the place marble quarries, manufacturing of chocolate, woolen and cotton goods, and lived there in 1881, 1,056 inhabitants. Among the most important monuments of the local art include the Church of Saintes Juste et Ruffine from the 13th century, as well as used as a museum, built by Vauban, Fort La Garde.
