Pratt County, Kansas

Pratt County is a county located in the state of Kansas in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Pratt.

Geography

The County is located in southern Kansas, about 50 miles from Oklahoma is removed and has an area of 1906 square kilometers, of which two square miles are water. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Stafford County, Reno County, Kingman County, Barber County, Kiowa County and Edwards County.

History

Pratt County was formed on 26 February 1867. It was named after Caleb Pratt, an officer during the American Civil War.
