Pravda (Slovakia)

Pravda (Slovak for " truth " ) is a Slovak newspaper opinion. It is published daily from Monday to Saturday. Before the Velvet Revolution in 1989, she was the main newspaper of the Communist Party of Slovakia. The owner of the newspaper and its publishing company Perex is the Czech company Florena.

The newspaper was founded in 1945, the Slovak equivalent of the Soviet newspaper Pravda and was the communist newspaper in the Slovak part of Czechoslovakia. Its counterpart in the Czech Republic was Rudé právo ( "Red Right").

After the turn she was the newspaper of the Party of the Democratic Left, the successor to the Communist Party of Slovakia. Today, the newspaper moved into the center of the political spectrum, although the Slovak opinion Týždeň magazine claims that she was more left- oriented. In 2008, the newspaper has changed its layout to the Berlin tabloid.
