Prebbleton

Prebbleton is a place in Selwyn District in Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand. It is located about nine kilometers southwest of Christchurch at the Springs Road towards Lincoln in the Canterbury Plains.

The town was founded in 1855, when the brothers Prebble settled there. Dominated by agriculture has always been, are located in the area there are plenty of orchards and olive groves.

At the 2006 census the population was 3,024, which represents a population growth of 64.7 % since the previous census in 2001.
