Precious Images

Precious Images is an American short film from the year 1986.


The film is an overview of 100 years of American cinema. There are the well- known and most valuable excerpts - each section is not to take more than one second - from the most important films of the past 100 years have shown.


In 1987, the film in the category Best Short Film was awarded the Oscar.

2009, the film was inducted into the National Film Registry of the National Film Preservation Board.


Chuck Workman produced the film on behalf of the Directors Guild of America.

In 1996, the film was premiered again, this time enriched with new scenes of other films.
