Precision Air is a private Tanzanian airline based in Dar es Salaam and based on the Dar es Salaam airport.

History

The airline was founded in 1991, but flies only founded in 1994. Originally known as air taxi for private tours, the line serves today increasingly the tourist market of Tanzania with charter and scheduled flights. First line flights were launched in 1999 in cooperation with Air Tanzania. Today, 51% of the shares are owned by the company founder Michael Ngaleku Shirima, 49 % are held by Kenya Airways.

As of July 2013, the fleet of the Precision Air consists of eleven aircraft:
