Precuneus

The term precuneus refers to that part of the medial pallium, which is located between the occipital lobe and the paracentral lobule. It is separated by rostral and basal through the branched processes of the cingulate sulcus from the paracentral lobule and cingulate gyrus, occipital by the parieto-occipital sulcus. He is sometimes described in neurophysiological terms as part of the superior parietal lobule.
