Prefectural road

A prefectural road (Japanese都 道 府 県 道, todofuken - dō ) is a street in Japan, whose number has been assigned by a Prefecture, independent to those in other prefectures. In addition to the number you may also be given a name.

To mark a prefectural road hexagonal blue signs with a white border to be used. Above the number of the street is the short form for prefectural road and below the number of the name of the prefecture.
