Presence is the seventh studio album by British rock band Led Zeppelin. It was recorded in November and December 1975 within three weeks in Munich and produced and released on 31 March 1976 by Swan Song Records.

The album was created after the serious car accident by Robert Plant on August 5, 1975, Rhodes, Plant sat during the recordings in a wheelchair or in a chair opposite tape. The songs were written during his convalescence in Malibu. Therefore, the texts turn especially to life itself, especially to losses and setbacks suffered by the person.

The opening titles Achilles Last Stand is 10 minutes and 25 seconds, the third longest song from Led Zeppelin to In My Time Of Dying ( 11:06 ) and Carouselambra ( 10:34 ). Jimmy Page is said to have said it was his favorite song of Led Zeppelin. Since their tour of America in 1977 the title was standard in every other appearance.

Presence is the only Led Zeppelin album in which neither keyboard nor acoustic guitars are used.

It is also the first with audible influences of Heavy Metal ( Achilles Last Stand ).
