Presian I of Bulgaria

Presian, also Presijan ( Bulgarian Персиан or Пресиян ), was 836-852 Emperor ( Khan) of Bulgaria from the house of Krum. He was the son of Boljaren Zwiniza and nephew of the Khan Malamir. Under his rule, the Byzantine sphere of influence on the Balkan Peninsula continued to shrink; especially Ancient Macedonia came under the control of the Bulgarian Empire.
