Presidential Seal of Turkey

The standard of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey ( Turkish Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Cumhurbaşkanlığı Forsu ) represents the presidency (or the President ).

Description

The script shows a white crescent and a white star on a red background as the flag of Turkey, and in the upper left corner ( Gosch ) 16 yellow stars and a yellow sun.

There are various theories about the meaning of the 16 stars and the sun. According to official figures symbolize the 16 stars the largest Turkish states in history. The sun in the center of this star represents the Republic of Turkey.

Legal foundations

The use, manufacture and look of the standard are regulated by law.

The regulation of the script is based on the Law No. 2893 of 22 September 1983 and the Council of Ministers Decision No. 85/9034 of 25 January 1985 regulated (as amended by Council of Ministers Decision No. 2012/3334 of 25 June 2012).

Use

The flag must be used in the following locations:

  • Residence of the president
  • Whereabouts for the duration of your stay
  • To the left side behind the desk of the President
  • In which the President is on the left front side of the vehicle

The standard remains hoisted, day and night.
