Presinge

Cara is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland. The parish includes the hamlet of Cara and La Louviere.

History

Cara was one from the late 14th century until 1792, at Savoy With interruption to Reformation times from 1536 to 1567, when it belonged to Bern. 1792-1816 was Cara with Puplinge to France. Between 1816 and 1856 were Cara and Puplinge a single community.

The site has been mentioned around 1012 and around 1180 Persenio as Prinsingium.
