Press kit

An Electronic Press Kit ( EPK ) is a press kit in electronic form - in contrast to the printed press - and can be on a CD, DVD or website. It is aimed at journalists of electronic media such as radio, television and the Internet.

EPCs are especially made for movies and music projects. EPK should the content, form and technical requirements of all eligible editors meet - to the transmitters to spare own shooting for coverage. Can be included interviews with the cast and crew, scene or concert clips as well as cross-sectional images, and beauty shots.

EPCs are usually not broadcast quality, but can be received by journalists, for example through selection of certain scenes and sequence of content, and possibly a combination of their own material. In the form of editorial radio or television reports then come the contents of EPCs to the consumer.

The goal of an Electronic Press Kit is - as opposed to paid advertising - to introduce a product in the context of editorial coverage.
