Priekuļi

Priekuļi is a town in northern Latvia, and the center of the county of the same name (in Latvian: Priekulu Novads ). The distance to the former county town of Cesis is about 7 km.

History

The present town was built on the territory of the manor, founded in 1652, Freudenberg. Through the establishment of an agricultural school in 1910 and an Agricultural Institute with experimental station 1919, the site grew and received in 1990 a separate municipality.

In 1996 the curriculum of the state agricultural pilot on the model of Triesdorf were fashioned.
