Prievidza District

The Okres Prievidza ( German Priwitz district ) is an administrative region in western Slovakia with 139 502 inhabitants ( 2004) and an area of 960 km ².

Historically the district in the former county Neutra, a small part in the southwest at Handlová in the former county bars located (see also List of historic counties of Hungary ).
