Prima family

Prima TV ( officially: Prima televise ) is a full program - private TV station in the Czech Republic. Owner is the company FTV Prima, Director General of the transmitter is Marek Singer. The headquarters of the transmitter is located in Prague.

Prima TV broadcasts in 1993. First, it was the name FTV Premiéra, later Premiéra TV, aired a program for Prague and central Bohemia. In 1994, the station a broadcasting license with the requirement to provide part of airtime local and regional radio operators. Although this order is faded into the background over time, the broadcasting license was extended from 2003 to 2018.

On 3 January 1997 the name Prima televise, with twice in the Czech meaning " first " or " fine " Television was adopted.

In the fall of 2005, the Swedish group MTG involved with a 50 % equity interest in the company.
