Primaris Airlines

Primaris Airlines Inc. was an American charter airline based in Las Vegas. The home base of the company was the Las Vegas Airport.

History

The company was founded in 2002 and has commenced service on 1 June 2004 with a national FAR Part 121 approval for the United States. Primaris Airlines offered flights between the cities of New York and the East Coast of the USA as well as Los Angeles and San Francisco on the west coast of the country. The company employs in January 2008 140 employees and operated three Boeing 757

The concept of the airline based on the symbiosis of efficient low-cost airline and a service that should take on a business class. Given the fact that fewer and fewer companies are willing to pay for their employees business-class fares, but save budget airline rigorously on the Service, wanted to serve a niche market the airline. However, Primaris applied for on 10 October 2008 for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and put to flight operations from December 1, 2008.

Fleet

The airline was planning to use a fleet of fuel-efficient Boeing 737-800 on the continental routes from 2007, but then took advantage of three Boeing 757 on the intercontinental flight operation, the Boeing 787 should be used starting in 2009, including between New York and Frankfurt. The orders for the production of Boeing aircraft were issued in 2004, so was Primaris the first U.S. airline, the newly developed Boeing has ordered 787. The order included 20 Boeing 787 to the expansion of its international flight operations, but was withdrawn by agreement in June 2006, without giving any reason. At the same time the order of 20 Boeing 737-800 was withdrawn and returned 40 agreed delivery options.
