Prince Alfons of Bavaria

Alfons Maria Franz Clemens Maximilian of Bavaria ( born January 24, 1862 in Munich, † January 8, 1933 ) was a royal prince, came from the noble family of the Wittelsbach family and was an officer in the Bavarian Army, most recently General of Cavalry.

Life

Alfonso was the son of Prince Adalbert Wilhelm of Bavaria and his wife Infanta Amalia Philippa Pilar of Spain and a grandson of Louis I of Bavaria.

On April 15, 1891 Alfonso married at Schloss Nymphenburg Louise Victoire d' Orléans, the daughter of Ferdinand d' Orléans and Duchess Sophie Charlotte in Bavaria.

After eleven years of marriage again eleven years later the daughter Elisabeth Maria Anna (1913-2005) was the son of Joseph Clemens (1902-1990), was born.

He was chief stationed in Hofgeismar Dragoon Regiment " Freiherr von Manteuffel " (Rhenish ) No. 5

Alfons is buried in St. Michael's Church in Munich.
