Princess Bona Margherita of Savoy-Genoa

Bona Margherita of Savoy - Genoa ( born August 1, 1896 in the Castello d' Agliè, Piedmont, † February 2nd 1971 in Rome) was a princess of Savoy.

Life

Bona Margherita was the daughter of Tommaso Duke of Savoy -Genoa (1854-1931) and Princess Isabella Marie Elisabeth of Bavaria ( 1863-1924 ).

She married Franz Konrad Luitpold Prince of Bavaria, son of Prince Leopold of Bavaria and his wife Archduchess Gisela Louise Marie of Austria, on January 8, 1921 Chateau d' Aglie, in Piedmont.

She is buried in the family cemetery of the Wittelsbach in Andechs monastery where her coffin was transferred from the " royal crypt " of St. Michael (Munich ) in 1977. Her son Eugen Leopold also rests there.
