Anne Henriette of France ( " Madame Seconde " ) ( born August 14, 1727 Versailles, † February 10, 1752 in Versailles) was Princess of France.

Life

Princess Anne Henriette of France and her twin sister Louise Elisabeth of France were on August 14, 1727 as the first child of King Louis XV. born in France and his Polish wife, Maria Leszczyńska in Versailles.

While her sister Louise Elisabeth took the trip to Spain as wife of Philip of Spain, Anne Henriette remained at Versailles and suffered the loss of her favorite sister, with whom she had spent most of their time. As a result, the already naturally very reserved princess pulling back more and more, and devoted himself to music. In the following years she perfected her gamba playing. Her teacher was Jean -Baptiste- Antoine Forquerays, one of the most famous viol player in 18th century France, whose father Antoine Forquerays already at Louis XIV worked as a viol player. The passion of Anne Henriette for music was held by the court painter Jean -Marc Nattier on his portrait of Madame Henriette of music-making.

Unlike her twin sister Anne Henriette was never married, although they for the Duke of Orléans raved for a while and frequently met with him.
