Princess Marie Louise of Bourbon-Parma

Marie Louise Pia Teresa Anna Ferdinanda Francesca Antonietta Margherita Giuseppa Carolina Bianca Lucia Apollonia di Bourbon ( born January 17, 1870 in Rome, Italy, † January 31, 1899 in Sofia, Bulgaria) was Princess of Parma and Princess of Bulgaria.

Life

Marie Louise was a daughter of Duke Robert I of Bourbon Parma and Maria Pia della Grazia of Bourbon, Princess of the Two Sicilies. She was the half-sister of Empress Zita of Austria.

Princess Marie Louise married the Prince and later King Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, the son of Prince August of Saxe- Coburg and Gotha and Clementine d' Orléans, on 20 April 1893 in the Villa Pianore in Lucca, Italy.

Princess Marie Louise died on January 31, 1899 at age 29, one day after the birth of her fourth child, in Sofia.
