Prison Commission (England and Wales)

The Prison Commission was established in 1877 in the UK, to enable centralized management of all prisons in the country. It was made possible by their means, to adopt uniform standards in accom -drying and prison. The Authority was also responsible for the implementation of the death penalty and all associated regulations, in particular the leadership of the list of persons who are authorized to carry out executions (in short "the list" ). 1898 and 1908 there were further reforms of the institution. The Prison Commission was transformed into an "Agency of government" in 1993 and given to her by a modern state.
