Prizren District (Serbia)
The district Prizren ( serb. Призренски округ Prizrenski okrug, alb. Prizren ) is from the perspective of Serbia Serbian administrative district in the south of Kosovo.
On 17 February 2008 the parliament of Kosovo declared the independence of the state; the Serbian district classification plays therefore in reality no longer matters.
The area consists of the following major towns:
- Suva Reka ( serb. Сува Река ) ( Alb. Suharekë )
- Orahovac ( Serbian: Ораховац ) ( Alb. Rahovec )
- Prizren ( serb. Призрен ) ( Alb. Prizren )
- Gora ( Serbian: Гора )
- Opolje ( serb. Опоље )
The administrative center is the city of Prizren.
