Pro Football Hall of Fame

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is a Hall of Fame American football in Canton, Ohio. In this Hall of Fame, due to the particular development in American Football, almost exclusively earned by athletes, coaches and officials of the National Football League ( NFL) honored.

History

The Hall of Fame opened on September 7, 1963 with the inclusion of 17 players from the early days of American football. To date, all have played a part of their career in the NFL until one player at least. The Guard Billy Shaw of the Buffalo Bills spent his entire career in the American Football League. Following the initiation of new members in 2009 there are two NFL teams that provide no Hall of Famer. These are the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
