Pro Wrestling NOAH

Pro Wrestling NOAH is a Japanese wrestling organization founded in 2000 by the Japanese wrestler Mitsuharu Misawa.

History

Misawa, 2000 was the booker of All Japan Pro Wrestling, which was previously under the direction of Giant Baba. All Japan was led by Baba's death by his widow Motoko Baba. The former, according to rumors Misawa wanted to revolutionize the traditionalist and often stale Booking All Japan, whereas Baba uttered. Misawa, his co- Booker Mitsuo momota and with very few exceptions, almost all Japanese wrestler and Office members then went to the new Pro Wrestling NOAH project.

Wrestlers in the promotion are therefore former All Japan Pro Wrestler Mitsuharu Misawa like, Akira Taue, Kenta Kobashi, Yoshinari Ogawa or June Akiyama and now now ascended Ex - All Japan wrestler Takeshi Morishima Takeshi Rikio, Naomichi Marufuji, KENTA and many more. From the NOAH Dojo originate wrestlers such as Go Shiozaki and Takashi Sugiura.

NOAH refers to the biblical story of Noah and his ark. The name was not chosen by chance, but is intended to indicate a new beginning in Japanese wrestling. The shows and tours are often provided with the title " Navigation " to play on the ark.

As the competition New Japan Pro Wrestling ( NJPW ), All Japan Pro Wrestling NOAH etc awards titles in singles and tag team matches, each in the heavyweight division as well as in the junior heavyweight division. The tracks are called Global Honored Crown ( GHC). Although it is not considered as the largest organization in Japan because of the history and the financial resources of NJPW, NOAH 2005 and 2006 was considered a " true leader " as the only major Japanese organization that is in the black.

The well-known wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer from Pro Wrestling NOAH rated Observer a few years ago as the strongest of all wrestling organizations worldwide. For example, the match Mitsuharu Misawa Kenta Kobashi against from 1 March 2003 and Kenta Kobashi against Jun Akiyama on 10 July 2004, rated with five stars, this is considered the highest rating in wrestling. Especially the Tokyo Dome shows in 2004 and 2005 have drawn global attention to NOAH by their high quality and legendary matches as Akiyama / Kobashi and Sasaki / Kobashi.

NOAH is working closely with the American leagues Ring of Honor and World League Wrestling. Through cooperation with European promotions such as Westside Xtreme Wrestling ( Germany ), the International Catch Wrestling Alliance ( France) and IPW -UK (England) are also each year many NOAH stars in Europe, as were, among others Misawa, Kobashi, Marufuji, Minoru Suzuki Akiyama and already in German wrestling rings. In return, were already European wrestlers like Ares, Zack Sabre Jr. and Murat Bosporus in Japan.

In spring 2006, NOAH has also set up a second (mini) promotion called Pro Wrestling SEM, another allusion to the biblical story of Noah, was the eldest son Shem. There occur exclusively on the younger wrestlers Noah.

Misawa, who ran the business from NOAH, passed away on June 13, 2009 in Hiroshima after a match on a cardiac arrest. Since then, Akira Taue runs the business, where it is supported by Kenta Kobashi, Go Shiozaki Jun Akiyama Naomichi Marufuji and.
