Prodromos (Cyprus)

Prodromos, Greek Πρόδρομος, is a village in the district of Limassol on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. It is located in the Troodos Mountains in the vicinity of the Olympos to 1,380 meters above sea level, making it the highest situated village on the island. Prodromos is the site of a winter sports center with three ski slopes.

Prodromos is also a Greek first name meaning " leader " or " pioneer " in connection standing with John the Baptist.
