Professor Balthazar

Professor Balthazar ( Serbo-Croatian: Profesor Baltazar ) was a 59 -part animated series of Yugoslav Zlatko Grgic, the film was produced in the years 1967-1977 in Zagreb and first aired on 13 January 1973 at the German television.

Action

The series is about the scientist Professor Balthazar, which solves the problems of his fellow human beings with the help of his strange invention machine. He was confronted with a problem, so he went up and down, accompanied by " he thought ... and thought ... and thought ... and then he had an idea," a voice from the off. The solution to each problem was every time that a drop of a cocktail of different chemicals mixed in the " professor " colorful machine, collected by him in a test tube and dropped on the floor was - what something was suitable for problem solving, mostly in turn a ( other ) machine.

Formation

The series remains to this day the most successful project of the Zagreb animation school. The "father" of the figure is Zlatko Grgic Balthazar, with a total of less than 20 people worked on the production.

From 1968-71 Zlatko Grgic, Boris Kolar and Ante Zaninović had alternately been involved as directors and writers on the show. The first season of 13 episodes was created in 1967 /68, as the second season of 13 episodes was also produced in 1971. In 1977 produced 3rd season with the next 13 episodes Zlatko Grgic was no longer involved. Boris Kolar and Ante Zaninović produced in the same year right after even a 4th season with 20 episodes this time, but only had it half as long as the previous ones. Of these, a total of 59 episodes, which produced Zagreb film, episodes # ​​05 " Maestro Koko " were # 31 " Maxol " and # 34 " Pepino Cicerone " but not sold to Germany ( in the Season collection below in italics ). This came only 56 episodes for broadcast.

Professor Balthazar was first broadcast on 13 January 1973 at the German television. From 1976 until the end of 1978 Professor Balthazar occurred in five -minute episodes than commercial separators in the regional evening program of the WDR. Towards the end of 1978 Professor Balthazar in the evening program of the three children Ute, pout, Kasimir and her dog Moppel was replaced. The synchronization of the 56 purchased episodes took place in the Hamburg Windrose Studios on behalf of the West German television advertising (WWF) in Cologne, a WDR daughter.
