Promenade deck

A promenade deck is the area of a passenger ship decks, which extends outside the tags interior of the vessel and is delimited only by a railing to the outside of the ship to go. Parts of the promenade deck are also occasionally by - usually provided with generous window openings - closed outer walls protected against weather influences. Promenade deck (see promenade ) are used for the passengers of a ship as a place to exercise in the fresh air as well as a viewing platform; for this reason they are usually on the upper decks of a ship.
