Propagule

Diaspore is the botanical term for all dissemination of promotional items such as seeds, part fruit, fruit, fruit stands, spurs, bulbils or other vegetative leaf buds which serve the propagation of plants or fungi.

The term "seed " as used in common parlance, is botanical point of view, morphological reasons not always true. The actual seed of Apiaceae remains, for example, included until germination of the pericarp. The connection is so close that the seed can not be freed without injury from between seed and pericarp. Diasporas may also include other plant parts, such as the linden tree where the cover sheet is fused with the stem of the fruit stand and serve as wings to the wind spread.
