Prosafe

Prosafe is the world's leading supplier of semi-submersible vessels, half of diving residential and service platforms, special types of tankers that buffer the oil and gas production from a drilling platform until they are picked up by a tanker, oil rigs and oil platforms from Norway with headquarters in Stavanger. The company is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in the financial index OBX.

Prosafe went in 1997 from the merger between the two companies founded in the same year Safe Offshore ASA and Procon Offshore ASA forth. The Safe Offshore ASA in turn went out in 1997 as a spin -off from the former Transocean ASA and essentially involves began in 1972 under the name Marcon AS offshore activities. In 1998 the company merged with Consafe and Discoverer ASA. 2001, the company consisted of the three companies areas: Prosafe Production, Prosafe Offshore and Prosafe Drilling Services. The company's range Prosafe Drilling Services was sold to the company KCA Drilling Dautag 2005. In June 2006, the company acquired Prosafe Consafe AB.
