Prosser is a city in the U.S. state of Washington. The town has 4,838 inhabitants and is located in Benton County, whose county seat ( county seat ) he is.

Located on the Yakima River town was founded in 1882 by William Farrand Prosser, a former colonel in the army of the Union and Republican congressman.
