Providence County is a county located in the state of Rhode Iceland to the United States. In 2010, the County had 626 667 inhabitants and a population density of 585 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Providence.

Geography

Providence County was founded in 1703 as Providence Plantations County and renamed in 1729 to Providence County.
