Providence Equity Partners, LLC is a US-based investment firm specializing in investments in all sectors of the media and communications industry. In this segment, it is one of the world leaders. In the cable communications sector is one of the largest investors in Europe. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Providence ( Rhode Iceland ) has since been invested with seven funds launched in more than 100 companies, including some of the largest corporations in the industry. Currently, Providence Equity Partners manages a total investment volume of around 21 billion U.S. dollars. Offices are located next to Providence in New York, London, Hong Kong and New Delhi. CEO is Jonathan M. Nelson.
