Providence Grays

Providence Grays was the name of several Major League and Minor League Baseball teams, Rhode Iceland were located in Providence. The Major League Grays were eight years from 1878-1885 in the National League active. In 1884, the Grays, the first "old" World Series win against the New York Metropolitans in a best - of-three series by a sweep.
