Provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is divided into ten provinces and one capital district, the neutral city (French Ville neutre ) analyzed. According to the new constitution in December 2005 the country into 25 provinces and the city of Kinshasa should be broken. The new structure was adopted in 2008 and subsequently postponed several times. In January 2011, however, President Joseph Kabila announced that the planned restructuring will not take place.
