Përrenjas ( Albanian: Përrenjasi and often Prrenjas respectively Prrenjasi ) is a small town in Eastern Albania. The mining town in the district Librazhd is close to the Macedonian border and has 5847 inhabitants. The commune - whose authorities with a population of 8256 persons ( 2007) specify - with an area of 1830 hectares still includes the villages Fshat Përrenjas ( Përrenjas village), with around 1500 inhabitants and Rashtan with around 600 inhabitants.

Përrenjas lies on the western ascent to the pass Qafë Thana in a small plane, the Fusha e Domosdovës, surrounded by 1000 meter high mountains to around 550 meters above the Adriatic.
