Pruchnik

Pruchnik is a town of 3,300 inhabitants in Poland. It is located 19 km southwest of Jarosław at the Mleczka and belongs to the powiat Jarosławski in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. Pruchnik is primarily known for the numerous interesting wooden houses with arcades dating from the 19th century.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1299. 1370 received Pruchnik, which was in the possession of the family Pruchnicki, city law. 1772, at the First Partition of Poland, the city came to Austria. In 1935 the municipal rights were revoked. On 1 January 2011 the place again received city rights.
