Prudhoe Bay is a census -designated place (CDP ) in North Slope Borough in the state of Alaska in the United States. It is the starting point of the across Alaska leading up to the ice-free port Valdez Trans Alaska pipeline.

In the Prudhoe Bay is located to the Prudhoe Bay oil field, the largest oil deposits in the United States with an initial volume of 25 billion barrels, which was discovered in 1968.
