Przemysław Gintrowski

Przemysław Gintrowski ( born December 21, 1951 in Stargard, † 20 October 2012 in Warsaw) was a Polish composer and songwriter.

Gintrowski founded in 1979 together with Jacek Kaczmarski and Zbigniew Łapiński a later legendary songwriter trio. Her song Mury ( Walls ) by the Catalan song L' Estaca by Lluís Llach was 1980/1981 during the Gdansk and Szczecin shipyard strikes the anthem of the Solidarity trade union. As the state of war was declared in December 1981 by General Wojciech Jaruzelski, Kaczmarski went into exile, and the trio broke up. Gintrowski worked from then on as a solo artist and has given concerts in the Polish underground. Underground publisher gave out his records, concerts took place without major announcement with just a few hours of preparation instead.

The mid-1980s he prepared a recital for the actress Krystyna Janda entitled Kamienie (stones ). However, the program was never listed. However, Janda occurred with derived therefrom songs and won a title the Song Festival in Opole.

After the political change in Poland Gintrowski supported the early 1990s, the political activities of President Lech Wałęsa. It was him primarily to the settlement with the Communists.

Outside of his work as a political songwriter composed Gintrowski the music to several films and television series. These include, among other things, the film Matka Królów by Janusz Zaorski from 1982 and the TV series Zmiennicy Stanisław Bareja from the year 1986.
