Psammuthes

Psammuthis was an Upper Egyptian ruler of the 29th Dynasty ( late period ). His reign is given as 392-391 BC. Psammuthis is the Greek transliteration of the ancient Egyptian proper name Pascherienmut.

The traditional view is that Psammuthis two years next Hakor ( Achoris ) has ruled. But there is also evidence ( Hakor / Achoris for the nickname The appearing repeatedly [ as king ] ) that he has Hakor displaced a short time ( about 1 year) before this Psammuthis deposed again.

Structurally Psammuthis is attested by decorating the Chapel of Hakor in Karnak. He is possibly also the completion and decoration of the victims Magazine south of the Holy lake attributable. A granite block with dedicatory inscription dates from Akhmim. In Sakkara bear witness to him demotic graffiti; in addition, there is a scarab.
